Role Summary

Inspector Team Leader is responsible for leading the inspector team in conducting used cars inspections, ensuring that every unit is checked according to standards and applicable industry regulations. This role plays a key part in ensuring vehicle quality, overseeing processes, and coaching the team to achieve set targets.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Lead and coordinate the daily inspection activities to ensure thorough and consistent used car inspections.
  • Ensure all inspection processes follow SOPs, covering checks on exterior, interior, engine, undercarriage, and vehicle documents.
  • Oversee the assessment of vehicles for signs of previous accidents, major repairs, or flood/fire damage.
  • Review the final condition reports.
  • Ensure all inspection activities are carried out in accordance with safety standards.
  • Oversee and ensure that inspections are carried out for customers engaging in the buying or selling of their used cars.
  • Providing transparent and reliable vehicle assessments to build customer trust.

You Know-How

  • Minimum education: Diploma (D3), or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Automotive or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in used car inspection or automotive quality control.
  • Previous experience as a supervisor/team leader is an advantage.
  • In-depth understanding of used car conditions and standards, including physical checks, engine assessments, and document verification.
  • Strong ability to identify damages, potential issues, and provide objective evaluations of vehicle condition.
  • Strong leadership, good communication skills, and ability to motivate the team.
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, and able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and digital reporting systems is a plus.
